We bring Computer Science to life through fun activities, interactive lessons, and creative projects that introduce students to the exciting world of technology.
Our Computer Science department is equipped with age-appropriate resources that make learning about computers both engaging and informative. These include interactive smart boards, computer labs, coding platforms, and educational games. Students explore the basics of computing, digital literacy, and the world of technology, while learning how computers help solve problems and make life easier.
At LPS, we believe in making Computer Science both enjoyable and useful. In Grade 1, students begin by exploring the parts of a computer, learning how to use a keyboard and mouse, and understanding how to navigate simple digital tools.
In Grade 2, they focus on basic computer skills, such as creating digital drawings, typing skills, and understanding how to safely use the internet. By Grade 3, students learn the basics of coding, algorithms, and simple programming concepts through games and interactive activities. In Grades 4 and 5, they dive deeper into coding, creating digital projects, and learning how to use different software for presentations, word processing, and spreadsheets—while developing problem-solving, logical thinking, and creativity.
To bring Computer Science to life, we organize coding workshops, host tech-themed fairs, and encourage students to create their own digital stories or games. Pupils work on group projects, design digital posters, and participate in computer-based challenges. They also compete in inter-house tech quizzes, coding competitions, and creative tech showcases.
Our “Tech Explorers” club hosts fun activities like game development challenges, design contests, and digital art sessions. Corridor displays, project boards, and classroom exhibitions feature student-created digital stories, coding projects, presentations, and artwork, reflecting their learning and creativity. We aim to inspire young minds to embrace the world of technology, fostering curiosity and a passion for learning about the digital world.
