We bring Science to life through hands-on experiments, exciting activities, and exploration of the natural world around us.

Our Science department is equipped with child-friendly teaching resources that make learning both fun and educational. These include interactive smart boards, science kits, models, and access to educational videos. Students explore the wonders of science, from the smallest living organisms to the largest ecosystems, while learning about the earth, plants, animals, space, and the environment.

At LPS, we believe in making Science both exciting and educational. In Grade 1, students start by exploring basic concepts like living and non-living things, the five senses, and simple weather patterns.

In Grade 2, they learn about the human body, the solar system, and how plants grow. By Grade 3, they dive into the world of materials, forces, and simple machines—beginning to ask questions and discover answers through experiments. In Grades 4 and 5, students explore more advanced topics such as ecosystems, energy sources, magnetism, and the environment—while developing their observation, inquiry, and problem-solving skills.

To bring Science to life, we organize nature walks, visit science museums, and host interactive science fairs. Pupils conduct hands-on experiments, create science models, study the local environment, and participate in group projects. They also engage in inter-house science quizzes, storytelling competitions, and science drawing contests.

Our “Young Scientists” club hosts sessions on fun experiments, discussions about animals and space, and crafts to explore the natural world. Corridor displays, project boards, and classroom exhibitions feature student-created science posters, models, and simple experiments, reflecting their learning and curiosity. We aim to inspire young minds to wonder, explore, and develop a love for Science that will last a lifetime.
