Learning How Economics Shapes Everyday Life and Global Systems

At Lucknow Public School, Eldeco II, the Economics Department introduces students to the study of how individuals, markets, and governments interact to allocate resources efficiently. Economics is taught as an applied discipline that shapes logical reasoning, awareness of global trends, and decision-making skills.

Our learning spaces include smart boards, economic databases, statistical tools, digital journals, financial newspapers, and curated case studies. Visual models, charts, and simulations help students understand inflation, trade cycles, fiscal policy, and market structures in a simplified way.

Students begin with basic ideas such as money, resources, and exchange systems. These foundational concepts help students understand everyday economic decisions.

In middle school, learners study demand and supply, economic systems, national income, and development indicators through projects and classroom discussions.

Senior students explore advanced topics such as microeconomics, macroeconomics, globalisation, public finance, environmental economics, and policy reforms.

Students participate in surveys, data analysis, budgeting exercises, and business plan creation. Mock parliament activities help them understand governance and policy-making processes.

Field visits to banks, markets, and industries provide real-world exposure to economic systems.

Students engage in debates, entrepreneurship activities, budgeting competitions, and Economics Olympiads. The Economics Club organizes market simulations, financial literacy programs, expert interactions, and policy discussions.

Student work is showcased through charts, business models, research papers, and infographics. Annual exhibitions highlight innovative economic solutions and entrepreneurial ideas.
