We bring Business Studies to life through practical lessons, case-based learning, and hands-on exposure to the dynamics of the business world.

Our Business Studies department is equipped with modern teaching resources designed to make the subject engaging and insightful. These include interactive smart boards, real-world case studies, financial databases, industry reports, and access to online business journals. Students explore the principles of business management, entrepreneurship, marketing, finance, and economics, while examining the challenges and opportunities faced by modern businesses.

At LPS, we believe in making Business Studies both practical and inspiring. In the Lower School, pupils develop foundational knowledge in business concepts, learning about entrepreneurship, supply and demand, and market structures.

In Years 7 and 8, students focus on business management and marketing strategies, learning about company structures, business ethics, and global trade practices. By Year 9, they dive deeper into financial management, business law, and strategic decision-making—while enhancing analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

To bring classroom theory to life, we organize field trips to local businesses, visit entrepreneurial hubs, and host guest lectures from industry leaders. Pupils conduct market research projects, prepare business plans, analyze financial statements, and work on entrepreneurial challenges. They also participate in inter-house business competitions, national business Olympiads, debate contests, and innovation fairs.

Our “Business Leaders” club hosts workshops on leadership skills, discussions on business trends, and simulations of real-world business scenarios. Corridor displays, project boards, and classroom exhibitions feature student-created business plans, marketing campaigns, financial models, and multimedia presentations, showcasing their ongoing work and accomplishments. We aim to nurture forward-thinking individuals who understand the complexities of the business world and are prepared to make an impact in their future careers.
